These web pages are intended to serve the needs of the candidates for the sacrament of Confirmation in the parish of St. Mary at Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan.

For the 2003 - 2004 program year we currently have 9 candidates and their parents.  We meet after mass most Sundays of the year.

Because we do not have print materials that are appropriate for the kind of group we have, we are making our own program based on themes and materials that have been used in other years within the Diocese of Prince Albert.

One of the main features of the faith journey that we have started is the involvement of both young candidates and their parents or older siblings.  Our faith is handed down to us by our ancestors.  None of us have met the historical Jesus.  So we all have come to know Jesus from the faith community which we joined or into which we were born.  It has been the impact of God's presence in each of our lives, God present as the Holy Spirit, that sustains us and leads us to a deeper understanding of how God is always present to us.  It is the Holy Spirit that is our companion on this Confirmation Journey, and to whom we pray / talk.

The catechist, Gerald Regnitter, has the role of being the coordinator / animator for the journey of faith that each of you have undertaken, but it is first and foremost, and always YOUR JOURNEY with the Holy Spirit.
